Happy September to our Leavenworth and Lansing community. What a wonderful time of year. We are officially in the fall season and that means school is back in session, football is in swing, hunting season is right around the corner and there are radical changes in weather as well. Looking back at the last few months, we accomplished a lot at Saint John Hospital.
We have had many renovations on the Saint John campus over the summer, including a kitchen update; parking lot repairs ; and an updated courtyard. We have some new leaders at Saint John, including Michele Duckstein, director of Senior Behavioral Health Center. And of course we have a lot of new neighbors and members to our community. There are some wonderful, fun-filled community events coming up, especially Camp Leavenworth Days and we look forward to seeing everyone.
I am very encouraged by our steady progress and growth. Our Urgent Care and Primary Care teams continue to provide much needed care for our community in addition to our specialty clinics in the Saint John Pavilion. Our new general surgeon, Dr. Misasi, is now seeing patients at the Pavilion, bringing a valuable service to area residents. Our goal is to continue to add services and providers to meet the evolving needs of Leavenworth, Lansing, and surrounding areas.
