Brian Cooper joined the Saint John staff in September as the Security Supervisor. He is responsible for overseeing the Security department and ensuring Patients, Visitors, and Staff have the highest level of Safety and Security. He and his staff respond to disturbance calls at the Hospital and in the Pavilion’s ER, other departments, and sometimes assists the Lab courier on campus.
Brian comes to Saint John after having numerous Security roles with St. Luke’s Hospital campuses over the past 11 years. He also has worked at Olathe Medical Center within their Security department. Brian is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1983-1991.
He says the small town feeling at Saint John and in Leavenworth make the hospital and community a special place. “I have enjoyed getting to know the staff and helping visitors and patients who come to our campus.”
Brian and his wife Tracy have two grown sons. They enjoy family activities, visiting their oldest son Brandon at K-State University, and guiding their younger son Michael through his early graduation at Shawnee Mission West High School.
