Saint John Hospital’s Senior Behavioral Health Center is located in Leavenworth, KS, just thirty minutes from downtown Kansas City.

We provide personalized care for adults over 55 years of age experiencing acute symptoms associated with dementia and/or a mental health condition such as: bi-polar, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, etc.

Our inpatient services offer stabilization and treatment for these adults displaying serious behavioral or mental changes. Our beautifully renovated 30-bed unit provides a welcoming, safe, supportive environment where patients receive care based on their individualized needs.

Our interdisciplinary approach includes a highly qualified and experienced team of professionals who offer a variety of treatment modalities.

The team consists of: Psychiatrists, Physicians, Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, Recreation Therapists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nutritionist, and YOU– patient’s loved ones. Families and staff from patient’s nursing facilities are an integral part of patient’s treatment at Saint John Hospital and are encouraged to attend the weekly treatment team meetings.
