- [Condition H](https://stjohnleavenworth.com/condition-h/): Hospitals nationwide began implementing Condition H, or "Help" after Josie King, a pediatric patient at Johns Hopkins Children's Center, died as the result of a series of medical errors caused by communication breakdowns. Her family's efforts helped to establish Condition H to improve the quality of communication between families and caregivers, and to provide safeguards for families when they believe a loved one's health is in jeopardy. Condition H has been implemented at Saint John and hospitals across the country as a safety measure. It gives patients and their families a way to have their voices and concerns addressed.
