Saint John Hospital is committed to protecting the safety of our hospital patients, healthcare providers and community and remains in close contact with the Leavenworth County Health Department(LCHD), the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure proper COVID-19 precautions are followed.
As a community leader and in conjunction with LCHD we are sharing that an individual has tested positive for COVID-19. We have identified the staff and patients who came into contact with the individual and are following all guidelines and recommendations of the LCHD and KDHE.
To ensure the best possible outcome for our community we are placing a department, Senior Behavioral Health with all patients, in a 14-day quarantine and following all infection control protocols set forth by LCHD, KDHE and CDC.

We will continue to offer information and support the community as we work together through this time. Saint John Hospital and LCHD urges the public to continue to take appropriate precautions. Everyone should practice good hygiene, stay informed, practice social distancing, and limit in-person interactions. If you are experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, or other respiratory problems, call your healthcare provider or an urgent care clinic first. If symptoms are mild, do not go to the emergency room, as this resource needs to remain available for those with the most critical needs.
